Summary: This comprehensive practice guideline addresses diagnostic criteria and management for LS, and includes a helpful algorithm for following up on tumor testing results. Although NCCN does not make a recommendation to do universal screening for LS, they acknowledge that many NCCN institutions have implemented IHC and/or MSI screening of tumors from patients with newly diagnosed colorectal cancers to identify LS cases. NCCN recommends that an infrastructure should be in place to handle the screening results for institutions that do implement universal screening protocols.
